Fine Artist Painter
paintings on paper, linen, canvas.
I have always been an Artist, observing the world through a sensory perception.
Growing up in Connecticut, viewing beautiful New England leaves.
I remember visiting Grandfather's printing company, with multiple images
rolling off long presses, full of colorful fresh inks,
all fascinating, creating early visual impressions.
At home: Degas' ballerinas~the prints on my wall.
The visual world, is not, a separate picture.
Interior realms link up with this Universe; presenting a nexus of experience.
Pattern, light & shadow, color, texture, line, shape, edges & layers; perception & impressions; all part & parcel of daily life.
Juxtapositions and relationships, of both the human experience and the natural world, offer abundant opportunities for inquiry. The world is rich with sensory and visual components, within every day and the spiritual experience. These are all areas of exploration addressed. in this sometimes dreamlike body of work.
