Fine Artist Painter
Paintings on paper, linen, canvas.
I have always been an Artist, observing the world through a sensory perception.
Growing up in Connecticut, viewing beautiful New England leaves.
I remember Grandfather's printing company, with multiple images
rolling off long presses, full of colorful fresh inks, all making early visual impressions.
At home: Degas' ballerinas~the prints on my wall. I remember the language of line, color, and form.
Poetic introspection
The visual world, is not, a separate picture.
Interior realms link up with the galaxy; presenting a nexus of experience.
Pattern, light & shadow, color, texture, line, shape, edges & layers;
perception & impressions; all part & parcel of daily life.
Juxtapositions and relationships, of both the human experience and the natural world, offer abundant opportunities for inquiry.
The world is rich in sensory and visual components, within every day and the spiritual experience.
These are all areas I address in this sometimes dreamlike, body of work.
As Paul Klee said, "Color and I, are one. I, am a Painter.
